Today you’ll learn Marina’s tips for an overall 7.5 on IELTS.
She had to take IELTS 4 times before getting the scores she needed. (Stay motivated, students!)
In her previous preparation, Marina took another IELTS online course as well as hiring a teacher, but that still didn’t get her the scores she needed.
Her scores the first time were a 7 for Listening, 6.5 for Reading, 6 for Writing, and 7.5 for Speaking.
Then, however, her scores decreased, as low as a 5.5 for Writing.
That’s why she chose to learn the 3 Keys system!
Then, her most recent scores were 8.5 on Listening, 7 for Reading, 7 for Writing, and a 7 for Speaking.
Marina says that our 3 Keys templates made all the difference in her Writing score.
When you have our templates, you know exactly how to organize your essay.
Marina was able to get that 7 on Speaking, even though she really was not confident in her performance.
For her last IELTS Exam, she chose to take the test in another test center.

This can actually be a good strategy for some people!
If you are in an area where most of the other candidates sound like you, it’s difficult to rise above the average score.
It can be really challenging to make the examiner notice you if they hear the same kind of English from everyone.
Also, if you have negative associations with a test center, and have tried many times and gotten bad scores in one place, consider trying a different location.
As to finally getting the 7 on Reading that she needed, the 3 Keys strategies were what helped.
Marina also practiced a lot– short stories, newspapers, various websites, all played a part in raising her Reading and Writing scores.
Regarding her band and a half increase on Listening, she made a list of vocabulary that she often heard in practice tests.
To improve her spelling, she wrote the words that were difficult 5 times.
Now, Marina is off to Australia!
