I have a question about a problem solution essay.
Many animals are being hunted to the brink of extinction in order to fulfill the demand and greed of mankind for decorative purposes as well as for other reasons such as traditional medicine.
How can this issue be tackled?
So my question is, do I have to write both body paragraphs about different solutions, for example, against decorative purposes and one against traditional medicine?
Or could I write one about causes and the other about solutions, even if the question doesn’t ask for that?
No, you cannot write about causes in this case. You cannot write about anything that the question doesn’t ask you to do.
In Problem Solution questions, you’ll be asked about causes or effects and/or solutions.
This question is rare, because it only asks you to write about solutions. Just follow the task question.

For any Task 2 Problem Solution question, all you need is to talk about education and governmental action.
Here is the brainstorm:
Education
- elephants’ tusks are featured in many homes as an exotic decoration
- get word out about harmful consequences to the animals providing these statues
- design curriculum for every elementary school
- create public service campaign for TV and the internet that humanizes elephants
- personify elephants, valuing family and tribe, intelligence
Government
- international governing body, like the UN, should have all countries sign treaty banning the harm to certain species
- like protecting bird species being endangered in order to make bird’s nest soup for virility purposes
Remember to use vivid examples in every body paragraph.
