A YouTube subscriber recently posted a question about phrasal verbs that feature the word ‘snap’, wondering about what some of these might be, and if they are appropriate to use on IELTS.

Phrasal verbs are usually considered informal, so they should not be used in IELTS essays, unless you are a General candidate composing and informal letter for Task 1.

However, phrasal verbs, when used correctly, do fulfill the scoring requirements for a 7+ in Vocabulary in IELTS Speaking.
