"The English Adventurer"

Do you want to start speaking English more naturally?

Do you ever wonder how you can take your skills and apply them into something that is more natural?

Do you want to gain confidence so that English can feel more normal to you in everyday conversations?

We’re going to look at how you can bridge the gap and take the skills you’ve learned and turn them into something natural for you.

You Have To Seek Out Opportunities

What do you need to look for in going deeper in your English?

You need some sort of formula to help you reach your goals.

We give you the skills and the words to use, but you have to put it together into a strategy that works for you.

How do we bridge the gap and get past the lack of confidence in our speaking?

You have to get out into the world and start having conversations.

You gain confidence as you talk to native English speakers and have conversations with ease.

Remember it’s okay if you make mistakes along the way, because after all it’s about Connection NOT Perfection!

This letter shows that many others like you want to learn how to speak English with confidence and ease.

Hi Lindsay,

I felt excited that you are talking about all of the problems that I have along with many others. I’m not a native speaker, and I don’t have the confidence. I feel isolated since I don’t speak like a native.

I’m ready to take the classes if it helps me to be more confident and relaxed in conversations. I’m not sure if it suits people outside of the US since I’m in Canada.

You talk about being familiar with the culture, so would the videos be boring for people living outside of the US?

Bridging The Gap

You want to bridge the gap, which really means that you learn to make this more natural.

You want to gain confidence so that you can speak with native English speakers more naturally.

There are two steps to bridge this gap:

  1. Listening Skills: You are always listening to conversations and picking up on phrases, new words and ways of saying things.
  2. Strategies: You are continuously practicing and trying out new strategies until suddenly it becomes more natural to speak in English. You are having everyday conversations without even thinking about it.

We give you features of how we talk and listen in our Connected Communicator course.

We provide a very organized layout of what you are learning in each video.

You are taking these lessons and applying them to everyday life.

How Does The Language Begin To Feel More Natural?

You may start with the “manufactured” English from a textbook.

You are going to learn the most from spontaneous English as it’s being spoken rather than manufactured English.

The goal is to get to a point of speaking like the natives.

How are we bringing you to your goal of connection?

It’s about taking the words and lessons and turning them into natural conversation.

It’s about learning to speak more naturally and gaining confidence in the conversations that you have.

Taking It One Big Step Forward

How do you develop a conversation or a connection?

There are universal topics that everyone is talking about in English.

Whether you live in the US or in another country, there are certain topics that native English speakers are focused on.

You have to have fun with it to stay motivated and improve.

It can be boring to just go through a textbook and get your information that way.

You have to stay engaged and you have to keep learning and improving.

It’s straight up fun which helps you to want to stay in conversation and keep talking and continue improving.

Takeaway

At some point you want to expand beyond just what you learn in a textbook.

You may feel as if you have all of the skills, but now it’s time to gain important experience in a program like our Urban Immersion Adventure.

Using your listening skills helps you to pick up on new ways of having everyday conversations.

Talking with native English speakers will help you to bridge the gap.

This is how you bridge that gap and take your English speaking to the next level.
