First step: Share your plan for the day with your accountability partner

  • Set a specific and attainable goal. The simpler the goal is, the better!
  • Let your friend know your plans. This will help you both focus and get right on track to reach your targeted goals.
  • Here is example for setting a plan or goal for IELTS: I am going to listen to two new podcasts today or I’m going to do an entire reading practice test today.

Second step:
Download and use the “Forest” app

  • Stay present while you study for IELTS. Forest is similar to a meditation app! Using it will allow you to focus on your goals and beat phone addiction and overcome distraction.

How to use the app: Plant a seed and as time passes by the seed will grow into a tree if you don’t use your phone, but if you cannot resist using your phone and leave the app, your tree will die.

If you and your partner use this app on your phones, you can compare how you spent your time during the day.

This app will help boost you and your partner’s productivity when it comes to preparing for IELTS and life in general.

Third step: At the
end of the day, discuss how you spent your time with your partner.

  • Share what you’ve done in IELTS preparation and otherwise and what you haven’t accomplished and explain why.
  • Let your partner know how many trees you planted on the Forest app.

It’s nice to have a friend who is also enrolled in the 3 Keys IELTS course to share the positives and the negatives since they know the exact IELTS system that you are learning.

Takeaway:

So get started today! Get accountable to someone. Find your accountability partner.

It’s easy to find a partner when you are in 3 Keys IELTS because you can post a request in the group. It’s so much easier when you have access to this kind of community!
