"The English Adventurer"

In order to get a high score for vocabulary, you have to exhibit a range of vocabulary, from informal to formal.

That is due to the questions ranging from informal to formal.

It would be inappropriate to use academic words, for example, to answer personal questions in IELTS Speaking Part 1 and Part 2.

Thus, you should try and use a couple slang words or idioms in your answers. This not only shows a range of lexis, but also helps you to stand out from the other students on the exam.

Many students know the phrases “hanging out” and “chilling”, so you can use these, but they are not excellent choices because they are common.

Use the vocabulary from the video to show your impressive English ability on your next IELTS Exam!
