Today we’ll talk about why some students take IELTS so many times, so you don’t have to.

Examiners wonder about this, too.

They see the same faces every Saturday, with some students taking the exam not just a couple times, but 5 times or more.

Why?

IELTS isn’t like that, obviously, or else these candidates would eventually get their score.

In using this strategy to increase scores, they’ll never rise above a 6, with some seeing 5.5 as their highest marks.

They’re also not learning the strategies.

IELTS is a unique test, one that you must learn specific strategies for, in order to increase your scores.

Take Reading, for example.

It’s not a comprehension test, plain and simple.

So, since you can’t read every word and find the answers in 60 minutes, you need time-saving, step-by-step strategies for each question type.

The question types are always the same, so you need to choose a system that focuses on those.

Regarding Speaking and Writing, the examiner is looking for very specific features of your communication.

If you don’t know what those are, you can’t provide them.

That’s why our system, 3 Keys IELTS, explains exactly what the examiner needs to see for a band 7, 8 and 9.

  • Perhaps they’re taking general English or ESL classes, and not focusing on the exam.

The fact is, if you’re not a very motivated student, language school classes do not provide enough contact with the language in order for students to improve.

Plus, general English is not IELTS, and it doesn’t help you pass the exam.

  • Their level of English simply isn’t high enough.

Taking an exam every week does not improve your English level.

You have to immerse yourself as much as possible to make sure that your English level is high enough for the exam. You should be at least at an intermediate level even to start preparing for IELTS.

So, commit to passing the exam and invest in a system that provides the IELTS knowledge you need, as well as improving your overall English, such as The 3 Keys IELTS Success System.
