Expressions for today:

  • “Once in a blue moon”: We use this when something happens very rarely.
  • “Everything under the sun”: This means everything that exists.
  • “It’s written in the stars”: Something is destiny or fate.
  • “Come back to earth!” (careful, could be rude) You might say this to someone to tell them to be more realistic and stop dreaming.
  • “What planet are you from?” (careful, could be rude): You use this when someone says or does something strange and out of the ordinary.
