You won’t have time to talk to the groom during the ceremony, so you will wait until the reception.
How to greet the groom at the wedding:
- “Congratulations! So this is the guy I’ve been hearing about. I’m so happy for you two!”
- “It’s so nice to finally meet you. I’ve heard so many great things about you.”
- “I can’t believe we’ve never met before. I’m Sunny. Nice to meet you!”
Remember: Keep it short.
Weddings are stressful and the bride and groom have a lot of people to talk to.
Say “congratulations, nice to meet you.”
You can also close with “I can’t wait to get to know you better. We’ll have to meet up when things calm down.”
