Today you’ll meet Priska who chose to get motivated by working to pass the CAE Exam and succeeded!
Priska is an inspiration and we are so excited to have her on the show today.
Priska is from Switzerland and is raising her 15-month old child.
She decided to take the CAE Exam because she was motivated to set a goal and reach that goal.
She wanted to grow as an English learner and as a person.
Priska’s English goals:
- She wants to travel
- She is thinking about taking an online course about image consulting in English
Priska says that she studied English in school when she was young but the methodology in Switzerland for teaching English is not good.
She says that we need a lot of different resources when we learn English.
She also visited the United States and place like Yellowstone National Park but she couldn’t completely communicate with locals.
She took our course Secrets of the Connected Communicator.
She was able to use some expressions from the course in her exam.
She used the expression “I am sort in the middle somewhere” and she also used the phrase “I naturally gravitated towards” on her exam too.
Using these expressions probably helped to increase her score on the test.
Where is Priska going next?
She is excited to come back to the US with her child one day.
She expects to feel more at ease and relaxed when she visits the United States.
