Surprisingly, there are a few opportunities to describe your mobile phone, or cell phone, in IELTS Speaking Part 2.
You could be asked to talk about a device you own, a valuable object, an expensive object, or something you cannot live without.
For all these topic cards, speaking about your cell phone would be appropriate.
Remember, to fluently fill 2 minutes, you must add a lot of context and loads of specific details.
(Quick vocabulary side-note– instead of device, you can say ‘gadget’, or ‘doodad’.)

For adding context about a cell phone, talk about:
- how/why/where you bought it
- appearance
- functions you use
- ringtone
- apps you use/don’t use
- feelings/emotions about the phone
