- it’s going to bleed into other areas of our lives (great idiom!)
- as opposed to other areas
- the imaginative aspect
- making ends meet… facts and figures
- alongside crazy characters in a cafe of poets
Speaking Part 3 Question: How could more adults be encouraged to read novels?
Notes from Lindsay’s answer:
- they’re scattered…all over the place
- stories above all
- this genre of true crime
- grab onto that
- really gripped adults
- actively take part in
- engage people in stories
In that answer, Lindsay mentions the Serial podcast. The first season was truly groundbreaking.
Jessica then mentions a famous true crime novel, about the Manson family, called Helter Skelter.
