What to say:

  • “I need an appointment.”
  • “I’d like to schedule an appointment.”
  • “Is there anything available on Wednesday afternoon?”
  • “Does he or she have any time on Wednesday afternoon?”
  • “Would Wednesday at 3pm work?”
  • “I need something the week of the 24th. Is there anything available at that time?”
  • “What works best for the doctor?”

How to agree that a time works:

  • “Yes that’s perfect.”
  • “That should work.”
  • “Great that sounds good.”
  • “No that won’t work.”
  • “Unfortunately I’m not available then. Is there another opening anytime near then?”
  • “That’s no good. How about next month?”

 

How to say you’re not sure if a time works:

  • “Oh that may work. Let me check my schedule and call you back.”
  • “That’s a possibility. Can we book that for now and then I’ll call to change it if I need to?”
