3 Places to Visit This Summer

  • Joshua Tree National Park: This park is cool because it’s a dessert. Most National Parks have a different landscape than this one. This has a different feel. Josh recommends that you try hiking in Joshua Tree on the Boy Scout Trail. It’s a 16-mile roundtrip hike. A lot of people like to see the stars in Joshua Tree. You would want to fly into an airport in California. It’s best to grab a guide or if you have a friend who has done the trip before it would be ideal. You can also do some rock climbing in the park.  Learn more about it here.

  • Yosemite National Park: This park is also in California. It has tons of amazing valleys. He would recommend Taft Point.  There are specific places where you can set up a tent to camp. Get more information here.

  • Yellowstone National Park: Yellowstone is located in Wyoming. It’s beautiful. Scott is drawn to Wyoming because it offers so many opportunities to get outside and enjoy a place that is completely different from his daily life in New York City. You can also check out Old Faithful Geyser.

*Pro tip: Get the National Park pass if you’re going to visit more than one national park in the United States. You can get discounted admission with this pass at many of the national parks.
