On Thursday I traveled to Toledo, Ohio. It was my first time in Toledo and I was lucky enough to find a great Couchsurfing host.
Suren is a PhD student from Sri Lanka.
We took a walk in the downtown area of Toledo and I asked him about his life as an international student in the US.
We talked about:
- How life is different in the US compared with Sri Lanka
- Why it’s hard to get a car in Sri Lanka and how it’s easier here
- How he feels after living in the US for a few years
