AEE Bonus: Two Phrases to Start a Conversation When You Meet Someone at a Happy Hour

Do you know how to spontaneously start a conversation in English when you meet people at a happy hour or a bar?

If you don’t know what to say to start that conversation then you need simple and easy phrases that you can immediately use.

Today we’ll show you those phrases and we’ll give you a sneak peak into our Urban English Adventure in Boston August 18, 19, 20th.

Our event officially begins on Friday August 18th at 8am but we will have an informal happy hour for students who have already arrived in Boston on Thursday August 17th at 8pm.

It will be a casual, easy gathering where we will get some drinks and chat to get to know each other.

If you attend this event you will feel more comfortable when we start the official program on Friday morning.

In this situation you will want these phrases to get conversations started:

  • “So, how excited are you for this weekend?”
  • “Where’d you fly in from?”
