3. Take 1 minute to skim
- You must understand the gist, or main idea, of the passage before you look at the questions.
- This saves time. If you go directly to the questions, you will not understand what they are talking about, and you’ll end up reading them more than once.
4. Limit yourself to 1 minute for every answer
- Don’t allow yourself to look for an answer for more than one minute. Start timing yourself on your phone.
- If you are looking for more than a minute, skip it and go back later.
5. Be comfortable with discomfort
- You will almost never be 100% sure of your answers, simply because you don’t have time read and reread.
- Again, learn the most efficient strategies, and trust them.
